South Needle is a very challenging hike in Lynn Headwaters Regional Park, which flies under the radar compared to a lot of the other nearby hikes like Norvan Falls and Coliseum Mountain. The hike takes you up to the popular Lynn Peak lookout, but then pushes further along Lynn Ridge and beyond Lynn Peak itself to a spectacular view at an elevation of 1,160 m at the summit of South Needle.

Dam Mountain is moderate hike, easily accessible from the Grouse Mountain lodge. The winter version of this trail is known as the Grouse Snowshoe Grind. This hike is fairly short if you are starting from the top of the Grouse Mountain Skyride, and as such is a nice extension to other hikes in the area such as Goat Mountain, Crown Mountain, Thunderbird Ridge and Little Goat Mountain.
