The Hope-Lookout Trail is a short but steep hike just off Highway #1 in Hope, B.C. The trail takes you partially up Mount Hope, to a clearing with a beautiful lookout over the valley below. Built in the 1990’s, the Hope Lookout Trail is often called “Hope’s version of the Grouse Grind”.

Flood Falls Hike in Hope, B.C.
Flood Falls (also known as the Flood-Hope Falls) is a quick and easy hike starting alongside Highway 1 in Hope. Located just 20 minutes north of Bridal Veil Falls in Chilliwack, Flood Falls is less-often visited, but no less impressive. As the entire hike can be completed casually in about 30 minutes, it’s a great option for families, and anyone wanting to stretch their legs during a long drive through Hope.
Ladner Creek Trestle Hike near Hope, B.C.
The Ladner Creek Trestle hike is along small section of the historic Kettle Valley Railway. The trailhead is accessed from a pullout along the Coquihalla Highway, between Hope and the Coquihalla Summit.
The trail is easy to follow but has a few steep sections with loose dirt. It only takes about 30 minutes to reach the trestle and a decommissioned tunnel. The trail is easy enough, except for the final 100 meters of the trail, which has some precarious sections. The final stretch may not be suitable for children or anyone unsure of their footing.
