- A few weeks back I showed you the picture of the world record breaking kayak free fall of 127 feet. Here’s the video:

- Here’s a trailer for the “world’s only human powered” snowboarding video, called My Own Two Feet. As stewards of the environment, Leeward Cinema shot the film without helicopters or snowmobiles and donated proceeds from a film tour to environmental projects in the hosting communities.

- God Went Surfing with the Devil is a documentary soon to be released that “charts the difficulties and dangers encountered by surfers in the [Gaza] region. Along the way it speaks to Israelis, Arab-Israelis, and Palestinians affected by the violence, charting their daily struggle to supersede the conflict through the joys of surfing”.

- I received an email this week with some pictures of an annual whale slaughter that takes place in Faroe Islands, a province of Denmark….Yikes.

- Mount Redoubt in Alaska went kablooey last week:

- I wasn’t able to embed the video, but CTV ran a story this week about North Shore / Coquitlam/ Lion’s Bay Search and Rescue teams practicing their helicopter long-lining rescue technique. Definitely worth the watch.
