- Jeff P. on Dailymile posted this killer video of a ‘tyrolean traverse’ his company did at the Squamish Chief:
- Via Wend blog. “VholdR.com recently their Lib Tech sponsored Top5 Snowboard Contest, offering up the five free boards to the winners, including the 2011 Travis Rice board as a grand prize.”
- Stumbled this on YouTube. A random clip of a friendly seal jumping aboard a kayak in English Bay:
- From Wend Blog, some pics from a dorm at a University in the Netherlands. In a word, awesome:
- Also from Wend Blog, a video on the new freediving world-record. William Trubridge went 288 feet without fins. To put that in context, I’ve never gone down further than 70 feet with a freaking oxygen tank on my back! I really don’t know how this is humanly possible:
- A few weeks back I showed you the picture of the world record breaking kayak free fall of 127 feet. Here’s the video:
- Here’s a trailer for the “world’s only human powered” snowboarding video, called My Own Two Feet. As stewards of the environment, Leeward Cinema shot the film without helicopters or snowmobiles and donated proceeds from a film tour to environmental projects in the hosting communities.
- God Went Surfing with the Devil is a documentary soon to be released that “charts the difficulties and dangers encountered by surfers in the [Gaza] region. Along the way it speaks to Israelis, Arab-Israelis, and Palestinians affected by the violence, charting their daily struggle to supersede the conflict through the joys of surfing”.
- I received an email this week with some pictures of an annual whale slaughter that takes place in Faroe Islands, a province of Denmark….Yikes.
